Apparently mom put the lid to his litter box on backwards and he couldn't get in to use it. He waited as long as he could and when she came home, this is what she found. Listen to the commentary. It's hysterical! (they did not teach him this. He figured it out by watching!!)
When my golden retrievers had a litter of puppies, Nikolai loved to play with them. Unfortunately, mama would chase him out when she found him in there since he was basically the same size!
